Emma Porter is a 3-year-old who survived a rare brain disease and has been slowly, bravely fighting her way back. Her family is trying to win her an adaptive bike through the Great Bike Giveaway — not as a toy, but as a critical piece of therapy equipment that could meaningfully impact her recovery.

She is currently in intensive inpatient therapy at Shirley Ryan right now and will be discharged in mid-March and we expect her rehab journey to be years long after that. She used to enjoy riding bikes and it is a therapy device she would benefit greatly from given her diagnosis and need for continued intensive neuro-rehabilitation.
