Can I switch the bike type I selected when I registered?
You can switch the type of bike you selected to a different bike type. However, all votes will be removed from your campaign and you will need to start collecting votes again.
Does my child need to have special needs to participate?
Yes, before a bike is shipped, verification will be requested documenting that the winner of the bike has special needs.
Can more than one family member register for the Great Bike Giveaway?
Yes, you can register to receive bikes for multiple beneficiaries.
What is the age limit for potential bike recipients?
While this campaign is geared towards children and teens with special needs the Great Bike Giveaway is open to all participants.
I Live in Canada, Can I participate?
Yes! However there may be additional shipping and customs cost that you will need to pay in order to ship a bike to Canada.
I live outside of the US & Canada, can I participate?
Unfortunately the Great Bike Giveaway is only available in the US & Canada.
Voting
What happens to the funds for our campaign if we win with the most votes?
The money raised would go towards other participants who did not win by votes or drawing but have raised 50% of their goal or more. This way you receive a bike and you help someone else in the process! If you raised enough money for a bike and had the most votes you will receive a bike based on meeting your fundraising goal and the entrant with the next highest vote total who has not raised enough money would receive the bike.
How many times can I vote for a campaign?
You can vote for as many campaigns as you like, but you can only cast a single vote for each.
Will there be a voting leaderboard?
Each campaign page will show a leaderboard of the top five of the bike type that registrant has selected. A full leaderboard can be seen at https://www.greatbikegiveaway.com/activity-central The leaderboard will not show how many votes each participant has.
Where do I vote?
Voting takes place on the registrant's campaign page. You can search for all campaign pages by clicking the search icon in the navigation settings or viewing all campaigns on the home page.
Can I see who voted for me?
At this time you are not able to see who voted for you.
Fundraising
How do we determine how much we will need to fundraise?
Your fundraising goal is automatically set based on 1. The bike you selected during the registration process 2. The Country you are registering from (U.S. or Canada). You will not be able to change or update your fundraising goal.
What happens if I raised money but don't reach my fundraising goal? Do we get those funds back?
If you did not raise 50% of your goal, 25% of your total fund will go towards maintaining the Great Bike Giveaway. The remainder of your donations will be allocated to other participants who did reach 50% of their goal. However, reaching 50% of your campaign goal does not guarantee that you will receive a bike.
Donating
Are donations tax deductible?
All donations are tax deductible. Friendship Circle is a 501c(3) non-profit organization. After you a donation is made the donor will receive an email receipt. If the donation is made by check a receipt will be mailed. If you are donating to a family member’s fundraising campaign, we suggest you speak to your tax advisor.
Can I See who donated to my campaign?
You can see who donated to your campaign by logging in to your account and clicking on reports.
