Ryder has had 7 brain surgeries. He also has Syringomyelia and EDS, making some physical activities exhausting and painful. We've tried multiple single rider bikes for him. They've proven to need executive functioning skills, which he doesn't have. We are an outdoor based family, having really slowed down in this fast paced world. Together, we hike trails. Having a bicycle that he can use, with my assistance would provide more opportunities to be outside and in nature. It would elevate our activities and allow us more family time. Ryder is 5'10 and 164 lbs, so our options for him are limited. It's definitely challenging as our special needs children become adult sized. Being outside, enjoying nature and having the wind on his face allows him (and us) to simply live in the moment. Creation is perfect and I want him to see everything because he deserves to have the best quality of life possible.
