My son Richie, 9 years old, is blind (no eyes), autistic, intellectual disabled, developmental coordination disabled, developmentally delayed and has Tourettes. He has alot going on, but we try in all ways to give him as many experiences that we can. We've adapted our own bike, but he will need a bigger one soon. He loves going out on bike rides and it's been hard to get one that will fully be right for him. He has low muscle tone in his legs, so this bike will allow him to strengthen his legs, as well as having a normal life experience in riding a bike. Unfortunately, adaptive bikes are incredibly expensive for families that have a special needs child. So we are asking for your help to try to get Richie one of these amazing bikes that will allow him to ride safely.
