David has severe non-verbal autism. He has a small tricycle at home, but now that he is older, he can’t ride it on the greenway as he used to…he is too fast and wants his independence, but he has pretty much no awareness of danger. When he was younger/smaller I could keep up with him and keep him safe (although it was already tough then!), now, he’s one step away from disaster it seems. He is a very active person, and we’d love to go on family bike rides with his two brothers.
