Thank you for checking out Landry’s page and helping her win a Josi Stroller! Each vote helps her chances of winning the Great Bike Giveaway, but we will have an additional month to fundraise for the purchase of one if she doesn’t win hers.

Traditionally, health insurance covers wheelchairs for children with disabilities every five years, but additional pieces or extras are the responsibility of families. Wheelchairs, while great for their purpose, aren’t usually designed for easily including a disabled child in an active families’ lifestyle.

As Landry gets older, I hope to remain active and adventurous with both girls as much as possible, but soon her size will limit my ability to “wear” her. The Josi stroller is a three-wheel jogger-style stroller that’s also easily used as a safe bike trailer. The size and weight limit of the Josi stroller would allow us to use it well into Landry’s teen years. The sportier stroller style and bicycle capabilities would allow her to participate in activities with Chandler and I in a way I don’t see as part of our future without it. It would be a blessing to all of us (and my back!) to stay active together while including Landry in things like family bike rides.
