Caleb is 11 years old and has autism, with some other acronyms attatched.This bike is not only going to be really good exercise for his legs (he is a tip toe walker, and has done serial casting, leg braces- AFOs, he also works really hard in physical therapy to correct the muscles in his legs and tune his motor skils), but it's also going to give him a huge chance to be able to make better connections with his peers and have more independence. In a world where he's not always able to fit in, being able to have this one typical childhood activity to experience by himself or with others would be wonderful! We've bought so many bikes over the years and he never could get the hang of it. When PT tried him on an adaptive bike and he got it right away and was flying through the lot, I was yelling and crying because I waited a decade to see that. I just want him to have that.
