Emmy loves to be outside but, due to her diagnosis, does not understand street dangers and cannot be unsupervised. She also has not demonstrated the coordination to master peddling or scootering. As Emmy is nonverbal, she is still slowly learning to communicate via a device - when her frustrations mount, she prefers to be outdoors and active. We take daily walks in the evening to help her calm. I believe a bike would not only be therapeutic for her, but also fulfill her adventure seeking nature.
