BJ has been diagnosed with Lennox-Gestaut Syndrome (LGS) and CHD2-related neurodevelopmental disorder. In addition to dealing with various medications and brain surgeries to manage the refractory seizures, BJ has experienced significant regression. Since receiving his first adaptive bike in 2019, BJ has gone from unassisted walking to relying heavily on this wheelchair & grab bars to move from place to place. We are fundraising for a handcycle (with foot propulsion added) to provide a fun way to work both upper and low extremities. This custom made adaptive handcycle will allow BJ to stay as independent and mobile as possible in his fight to maintain his quality of life.
