Griffin is a joyful, strong 4-year-old who weighs about 60 pounds and brings so much spirit to every room he enters. Because he is non-ambulatory, blind, and has significant hypotonia, movement is incredibly hard for him. Weight-bearing on his arms and legs can be painful, which makes most forms of mobility and exercise a real challenge.
But there is one thing that lights him up: the adaptive bike he gets to ride at school. When Griffin is on that bike, he can move, explore, and feel the freedom that so many of us take for granted. It’s one of the few activities that allows him to strengthen his body while also bringing him pure joy.
Having a bike of his own would be life-changing—for his physical development, his independence, and his happiness. It would give him a way to move his body, build strength, and experience the thrill of motion every day.
For Griffin, this isn’t just a bike. It’s freedom, therapy, and joy all in one. 🚲💙
