Derek is nonverbal autistic with a severe cognitive impairment. He has had 2 surgeries on his feet due his feet turning out creating constant pain. He needs a way of getting exercise without the pressure on his feet and doesn’t have an ability to ride a regular bike due to his cognitive impairment. He rides an adaptive bike at his self-contained special needs school and loves it.
