In 2021, Luke was diagnosed with a rare neuromuscular disorder called Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. There is currently no cure for Duchenne and boys with this disorder lack the protein to build muscle back. Boys with Duchenne are limited to the types of exercises they can do but Bicycling and Swimming are okay. He can’t pedal a traditional bike that great but he rode this amazingly in physical therapy and it would be a a dream come true for him to own a bicycle like this. He has gained a lot of weight being on steroids and we need him to drop some. Luke would LOVE to have this trike so we could all go on family bike rides together
