Mila had a brain injury at birth which led to a Cerebral Palsy diagnosis. During a recent intensive therapy program she got to ride a bike for the very first time and she absolutely loved it.
Beyond the joy it brought her, the bike introduced a pattern of stepping one foot in front of the other. That same movement pattern helped her begin practicing a walking motion using a gait trainer.
Having a bike at home would give Mila the chance to keep practicing this movement and continue building on the progress she made in therapy.
