Fundraising for Raven B's Rifton Adaptive Tricycles

Raven was born at 28 weeks & spent 15 months in the NICU. She is now 6 yrs old.

She is feeding tube dependent. She had a trach for 4 years, & had 90% of her left lung removed at 3.

Raven has balance & low tone issues that we work very hard on in therapy. She has never been able to ride a bike, & something as simple as climbing stairs is a task we are still working on, along with stamina. A bike would allow her to engage in an age appropriate activity & provide therapeutic benefits as well.

Raven Elizabeth Bryant was born on February 4, 2014, 12 weeks early. She was 2lbs 12 inches. Raven was transferred 2 hours away from home to a Level 4 NICU Unit at a hospital in Columbus Ohio(Our family lives in Tiffin, Ohio) when she was 4 months old. She was previously at a hospital 1 hour away from home. Raven was born early due to preeclampsa, IUGR, no fluid, poor blood flow, and a compromised placenta. Raven has several diagnosis’s including: chronic lung disease, bronchopulmonary dysplasia, Congenital Lobar Emphysema, Pulmonary hypertension, Bicuspid Aortic Valve, Mild Aortic Root Dilation, is missing two portions of her brain: Agenesis of the corpus callosum (ACC), absent septum pellucidum, Aortopulmonary collateral vessels, and hydronephrosis in her kidneys. She is feeding tube dependent. She underwent laser eye surgery for ROP (Retinopathy of prematurity) at 3 months old. Raven's case of BPD is unique in the fact that her right lung is collapsed, and her left lung is so hyper-inflated, it has pushed her heart, right lung, and trachea over and out of their correct spots. Raven had surgery at 8 months old to have a tracheostomy and gtube placed. She came home on May 4th 2015 after 15 months in the NICU. *On February 14th, 2017 Raven had a Lobectomy done on her left lung. They removed 85-90% of Raven's left lung. This did NOT remove all of the bad tissue unfortunately, but if he were to remove all of it, Raven would not have any tissue left due to the severity of how bad her lungs truly are. She had her trach removed in May of 2018 after almost 4 years of being trached. In May of 2019 she underwent surgery to close her trach stoma. We were told 5 times that there was no hope for Raven, but we knew she would prove the doctors wrong. She has been on life support four times, had countless blood transfusions, and dozens of procedures. She is NOT defined by her diagnosis’s.
