Willow is an amazing 5 yr old child who has DDX3X syndrome, autism, she is nonverbal, and has a multitude of other health and developmental challenges. Life certainly hasn't been easy for her, but despite everything, she is one of the most happy, upbeat, and fun loving kids around.

Willow loves bikes! They give her a sense of freedom that she doesn't often get to experience. Being on a trike vs in a push chair allows her to feel a bit of independence, as well as being able to explore the outdoors and go for rides down our local trails.

We have been fortunate in the past with having access to Freedom Concepts trikes for Willow. She was given a second hand one when she was small, a family gave it to us when their child outgrew it. Willow also outgrew it quickly, so we passed it on to a community organization where many kids with special needs are now able to benefit from using it! She has a larger one now that is kept at her school, which is on loan from our local children's hospital.
