Fundraising for Fuxian K's Top End Lil' Excelerator2

FuXian (aka FuXi) was born with Spina Bifida Myelomeningocele. He has bilateral hip dislocation and his right leg is paralysed from the knee down. He also has Sacral Agenesis, meaning the end of his spine (vertebrae) didn't develop all the way and he is missing the end of his tailbone. In spite of all this, he is smart, active, and determined! He is very strong in his upper body and he is very athletic and competitive. He wants to "go fast" and ride a bike alongside his brothers. We have chosen the Lil' Excelerator 2 handcycle, as we believe it will give him the most independence. Fly, FuXi, Fly!

We are only about $400 away from being fully funded for FuXi's Lil' Excelerator2! If we win by votes and our funding is successful as well, that will mean we will have essentially provided a second bike for another deserving kid! How awesome!

Team FuXi! Yahooo!!! We have met the minimum number of votes required to be a part of the drawing for a free bike when voting ends; yay us! Keep on sharing - if we get the highest number of votes in our bike category we will automatically qualify for that bike. There is something more to consider however. You can vote without donating, and all those votes are appreciated sooo much for sure, but here's why you should consider making a small donation too: The Great Bike Giveaway wants to give away as many bikes as possible, and our donations make their work go farther and they are able to give away more adaptive bikes. These bikes are cost prohibitive to most families but make a huge difference in the lives of the children who are able to have them. When the contest is over, all those donations will go to help families afford a bike who were able to fundraise half the amount of their chosen bike but were not the winners in their category. These are kids just like FuXi, who have the desire to experience the freedom of riding a bike. From $5 to $500, your donation is important and makes a difference. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
