He is considered non-verbal (uses a speech device to talk), visually impaired (limited sight), has quad cerebral palsy (effects all 4 limbs), is a high seizure risk, and is failure to thrive so uses a G-tube for nutrition.
Many people don’t realize that, insurance may help with a portion of medical expenses, it doesn’t cover non-medical equipment or most home/vehicle adaptations. While an adaptive bike was low on our list of medical equipment, we saw this fundraiser and jumped at the chance to help Charles get one. It will allow him to get outside for exercise (shh.. therapy) and to socialize with a friend/family member.
UPDATE: Wednesday, March 25 he reached & exceeded the bike goal!
Thank you for helping Charles in his quest of getting an adaptive bike. It can be anywhere from 8-25 weeks prior to delivery of the bike. Once things calm down, we hope to host a biking event in our community.
Any additional money raised on this site will go to assist other kids in their fundraising.
Has Quad CP - able to keep self on a regular bike, but enjoys time outdoors
