This would be amazing for Atticus. He loves being out with his family but especially with his twin brother. He wants to do everything he can with his brother. We love getting outdoors but usually don’t have a way to include Atticus in many of the activities we do outdoors because modifying equipment isn’t always easy and specialized equipment isn’t very affordable. This bike would be a dream come true for the boy who loves to go fast and the wind in his face!

I know I sound like a broken record but if I didn’t say something you would have to just have all my happy tears telling you how much you are truly amazing and how thankful that we are for each and every one of you. Wether you voted or donated we can’t thank you all enough for putting us in this position and helping us grant Atticus’s wish to have his very own bike!! 😭🥰

While this photo was socially distanced we snuck out last summer and enjoyed some time at the park. Atticus is a 26 weeker, micro preemie, twin! He is a fighter. We almost lost him 3 times over the course of his NICU stay. Born at just over two pounds and 14.25 inches long, he gave us hope with his strong lungs and will that he was going to beat his brother out of the NICU. Then the worst happened. He got NEC but the doctors didn’t know that right away. He had to fight until the finally decided to do surgery right in his room. They couldn’t get him down to the surgery floor. 5 surgeries later he came home with the battle scars to prove it. He then started to grow and do well for awhile but he constantly was getting sick and loosing weight. He fought until he was 3, then we went in for his g-tube and nissan fundoplication. Now a proud Tubie he started growing! Things were going well until one day he had a seizure for over two hours. It involved a crazy rush to the hospital and an overnight stay while we tried to figure out what was going on. His story keeps going with so many details. But I can only relive so much at once. What this mama does know is that he has a drive for life. He loves the wind, his Spokane Chiefs Hockey, his brother and Daddy, and going fast!! This bike would be such a wonderful blessing for him. It would give him a freedom we all take for granted.
