Imagine being born at 33 wks & given an exp. date of 6 months to live. Now imagine beating that exp. date. Today, Alston is 13 yrs old- soon to be 14 on March 2nd. Alston was diagnosed with epilepsy at 14 days old & cerebral palsy. He had brain surgery at 2 months old. The surgery was a success the seizures stopped for 4 years. But, the seizures gradually started back. Alston can not walk, can not talk, & is global developmentally delayed. But, he does understand you, he can scoot across the floor, he can give you a high 5 and he can make choices. He is an amazing little boy. A bike would be awesome so he can spend time outdoors with his brothers.
